Special K Fruit & Yogurt with Watermelon

15 September 2011 No Comment

Here is a great idea to get your morning started on the right note. A basic cereal bowl with a cup of watermelon is a great 300 calorie meal to start off the day. 296 calories to be exact. It doesn’t take but a minute or so to fix, then another few minutes to eat. That is provided that you take the time to cut up your watermelon before hand when you do have some time.

Step 1: Pour yourself 1 cup of Special K Fruit & Yogurt cereal into a bowl. Although the serving size is 3/4 of a cup, we need some extra calories.

Step 2: Measure yourself 1 cup of 0% fat free milk and pour it into your cereal. Or you can pour your milk first and make this step 1 for you backwards people :)

Step 3: Scoop up 1 cup of cut up watermelon to go along with your cereal. Most people don’t take the time to fill in their breakfast with the extra calories, but adding fruit is a great way to get your serving of fruit for the day, get hydrated, and eat something extra that may take your hunger away for a little longer.

Make sure to watch the video to see what a 300 calorie breakfast meal looks like.
